Middlebury Township Board Minutes, December 10, 2009 Draft Minutes Page 1 Middlebury Township Board Regular Meeting Thursday,December 10, 2009, 7:00 p.m. Ovid Municipal Building 114 East Front Street, Ovid, Michigan 48866 Minutes Supervisor Anthony Sinicropi called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Call To Order with a Pledge to the Flag and a prayer led by Trustee Paul Dutton. Members Present: Supervisor Anthony Sinicropi, Clerk Susan Roll Call Tomasek-Swan, Treasurer Carolyn Stevens, Trustee Erin Dutton and Trustee Paul Dutton. Guest Present: Fourteen people were present including Deputy Richard Seman and Township's attorney, Lynn Bowen. Scheduled Comments: Scheduled Comments None Stan Jelinek thanked Trustee Paul Dutton for the helping him with the Public Comments issue he had with a piece of property. He was impressed well how Mr. Dutton kept him informed. Moved by E. Dutton, seconded by P. Dutton, to approve the agenda Motion to Approve Agenda as presented. AYE: All NO: none CARRIED AGENDA APPROVED Moved by E. Dutton, seconded by Stevens to approve the minutes Minutes Approved from November 2009 regular township board meeting with 12/10/09 corrections ( remove Richard and add Supervisor and space added. between tabled and Stevens). AYE: P. Dutton, E. Dutton, Stevens, Tomasek-Swan, Sinicropi NO: none CARRIED Moved by P. Dutton and seconded by E. Dutton to approve the November's Treasurer's report as presented. Dutton to pay bills in with checks numbered 2494-2510 in the amount $7,311.42. AYE: All Bills Payment Approved NO: none CARRIED Supervisor Sinicropi did not attend the FEMA meeting. Communications The discussion of Sexton duties were tabled until January's meeting. Unfinished Business Resolution 2009-08, Setting the Calendar of Regular Township Board New Business Meetings was offered by Trustee P.Dutton and supported by Clerk Tomasek-Swan. Roll call vote: Resolution 2009-08 AYE: P. Dutton, E. Dutton, Stevens, Tomasek-Swan, Sinicropi NO: none Adopted The township board is waiting for OMESA to present a contract for services. Supervisor Sinicropi made a motion to approve sending Board of Review members to the MTA annual review meeting on Feburuary 4, 2010. Treasurer Stevens seconded the motion. AYE: All NO: none CARRIED Supervisor Sinicropi and Trustee P. Dutton will work on the budget for the fiscal year 2010-2011. Treasurer and Clerk will have information for the budget in January. Final Comments Deputy Supervisor Semans updated the board on the OMESA. Middlebury Township's attorney, Lynn Bowen, explained about the Super Majority for the OMESA board's decisons. The meeting was adjourned at 7:48 p.m. Moved by E. Dutton and seconded by Stevens.
