Regular Meeting
Thursday, May 13, 2010, 7:00 p.m.

Minutes
Supervisor Anthony Sinicropi called the meeting to order at 7:03 pm
Call To Order
with a Pledge to the Flag and a prayer led by Richard Semans.
Members Present: Supervisor Anthony Sinicropi, Clerk Susan
Roll Call
Tomasek-Swan, Treasurer Carolyn Stevens, Trustee Erin Dutton
and Trustee Paul Dutton.
Guest Present: There were eleven guest present. Among the guest were
Lynn Bowne, township attorney,Brent Jones, SEDP representative,Mike
Herendeen,township Deputy Supervisor, Ben Glardon candidate for the 85th
district, and Deputy Steve Loomis.

Steve Loomis stated everything was going fine in the township. Supervisor
Sinicropi thanked him for doing a great job.
Brent Jones, Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership, updated the
board about projects. Mr. Jones asked for the board's continued support at
five hundred dollar level.
Ben Glardon, 85th State Representative Candidate, spoke on his goal to
listen and bring the two sides together to help focus on what needs to
done to help our State.
Dan Stewart arrived at 7:30pm and spoke to the board about the issues
and proposals occurring at the county level.

Moved by E. Dutton, seconded by Stevens to approve the agenda
Motion to Approve Agenda
with the addition to (d) Floodplain management workshop (e) Lupe
Garcia and carpet issue under new business.

Treasurer's Report Approved
April Treasurer's report as presented.

Moved by Tomasek-Swan and seconded by P. Dutton to pay bills

With checks numbered 2585-2603 void on check numbered 2595
for a total of $6,216.01.

Trustees E. and P. Dutton and Supervisor Sinicropi spoke on the Capital
Communications
Conference. They discussed the about how many Senators and State
Representatives were present to be able to speak to them.
A proposal is again being discussed of consolidating smaller townships and
villages as a method to save money.
Resolution 2010-06, Sexton's Duties, was offered by Stevens and
Unfinished Business
supported by P. Dutton.

Roll call vote was taken with the following results:

NO: none CARRIED
OMESA contract for services was discussed with Deputy Supervisor
Herendeen pointing out the pros and cons of the signing of the contract.
Township attorney, Lynn Bowne also presented some pros and cons of the
signing of the contract.
Supervisor Sinicropi offered a motion to approve the signing the
contract for services with OMESA with support from Trustee E. Dutton.
Roll call vote was taken with the following results:

NO: none CARRIED
Trustee P. Dutton made a motion to approve the signing of the road
contracts for a total of $135,296.98. Supported by E. Dutton.

New Business
Trustee P. Dutton made a motion to decline financial support to the
MAGNET program. Stevens seconded the motion.

Trustee P. Dutton made a motion to approve appropriation of funds
Of $500.00 to SEDP. E. Dutton seconded the motion.

Supervisor Anthony Sinicropi made a motion to approve a check of no
more than $150.00 to Cen Tech for flags. Motion supported by Stevens

Supervisor Anthony Sinicropi made a motion to approve three
people to attend the Floodplain Management Workshop on
June 24, 2010. The motion was supported by Tomasek-Swan.

Doug Krebiehl discussed with the board about a check issued to Lupe
Garcia. Garcia has failed to bring the carpet that was ordered. Mr. Lynn
Bowne said that he would take over the matter and try to get a
resolution.
