Minutes
Supervisor Anthony Sinicropi called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm
Call To Order
with a Pledge to the Flag and a prayer led by Trustee Paul Dutton.
Members Present: Supervisor Anthony Sinicropi, Clerk Susan
Roll Call
Tomasek-Swan, Treasurer Carolyn Stevens, Trustee Erin Dutton
and Trustee Paul Dutton.
Guest Present: Deb Price, Richard Semans, Doug Krebhiel, Gary Kiger, Bob
Dennison, Steven Loomis, Rich Givens, Matt Tribfelner, Arlene Pesik and two
representatives from Orisol Energy.
Deputy Steve Loomis from Shiawassee County Sherriff reported everything was
going well in the township and there have been no complaints.
Scheduled Comments
Deb Price, a Park and Recreation representative, stated that Middlebury's
township representative, Kristy Chavart, is having difficulties making meetings
due to her work schedule and has asked if she could be replaced. Ms. Price also
came to ask for an appropriation for the fiscal year of 2012-2013. The Park and
Recreation board cares for all the facilities which 233 youths use the facilities to
play sports.
Deanna Finnegan, a Republican candidate for prosecuting attorney, stated her
qualifications and desires to become the next prosecuting attorney.
Two representatives from Orisol Energy to discuss a MET tower (Meteorological
E Tower) The tower is being placed on the Nethaway farm to see if the area is
suitable for wind energy.
Tony Sinicropi expressed his support to Paul Dutton on his bid for the office of
County Commission in District 1 area. Paul discussed his qualifications and
thanked Mr. Sinicropi for his support.
Public Comments
Arlene Pesik asked about the accident on that occurred with the fire truck and
ambulance. Supervisor directed to her to Richard Semans, Middlebury's OMESA
representative, to inform her what occurred after the meeting.

Doug Krebiehl asked Trustee Paul Dutton if he relayed to the Shiawassee Road
Commission his opinion regarding the crack sealing being placed in the spring
and then sealed in the fall to prevent peeling during the winter months. Paul has
not spoke to the road commission since Mr. Krebiehl discussed his idea with P.
Dutton.
Moved by E. Dutton, seconded by P. Dutton, to approve the agenda with the
addition (a) Magnet program under Communications.

Moved by E. Dutton, seconded by Sinicropi to approve the minutes from
April 11, 2012 regular township board meeting as written.

Moved by P. Dutton and seconded by Stevens to approve the Treasurer's
report as presented.

Moved by Tomasek-Swan and seconded by Sinicropi to pay bills with
checks numbered 3060-3077 & 3091 void checks 3078-3090 and 1 EFT in an
amount of $7,335.26

Communications
Letter was received from MAGNET. They are asking for appropriations from a
variety of municipalities but the program has plenty of funding from different
sources. The board took no action on the letter.
Resolution 2012-05, a resolution to place a proposal on the August 7th
ballot\ to renew the road millage. The resolution was offered by Carolyn
Stevens and supported by Erin Dutton.

New Business
Sinicropi made a motion to appropriate $500.00 to the Park and Recreation
board. P. Dutton seconded the motion.

Supervisor Sinicropi appointed Michael Herendeen as Middlebury
township's representative to the Park and Recreation board.
Matt Tribfelner explained to the board he is planning on putting a chimney cap
and tar around the chimney at the township hall to help stop the roof from leaking.
He asked about staining the deck at the hall and the fence at the cemetery. Matt
also recommended the buildings located on Elm Rd property should be boarded
up to prevent trespassers and cleaning up branches and weeds. Mike
Herendeen suggested putting up no trespassing signs.
Due to the size of the Elm Rd property, a motion was offered by Stevens to
increase Matt Tribfelner pay to $100.00 from $50.00 for the mowing of Elm
Rd. property. E. Dutton seconded the motion

Clerk Tomasek-Swan discussed the township hall's shutters and placing
limestone in the driveway of the hall . P. Dutton expanded on the topic to included
the cemetery driveway. There was a debate between crush concrete or
limestone.
P. Dutton made a motion to purchase crush concrete for the hall and
cemetery driveway not to exceed $3,000.00. Sinicropi seconded the motion.

The township shutters were discussed.
Sinicropi made a motion with E. Dutton seconded to approve Matt Tribfelner
to purchased shutters to replace the ones on the township hall at $20.00 or
less a piece.

Final Comments
At the Shiawassee MTA meeting in May an announcement that new plat maps
are available for $35.00 per map. Rich Givens thought the first map would be
free for the township.
Sinicropi made motion to purchase 3 plat maps for township use. P. Dutton
seconded the motion.

Richard Semans updated the board on the pending lawsuit with Ovid township
and the accident on Taft Rd. There are two bids for repairs on the equipment that
was damaged. The truck will probably be totaled out and as well as the
ambulance. No one was hurt seriously and a ticket was issued to the driver of the
pick up truck.

Diane Dowler announced November 1st is the deadline to file for a homestead for
Middlebury township. The change was due to collecting school taxes in
November.
Deb Price complimented the board for being opened and communicating with the
audience.

Gary Kiger asked when the Park and Recreations appropriation would be sent.
Richard Semans asked about the availability of the property in front of the
township hall. Sinicropi has not heard from the attorney's office.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 pm Moved by Tomasek-Swan and
seconded by Stevens.
