Call to Order:
Supervisor Herendeen called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm with a pledge to the flag and a prayer led
by Richard Semans.
Board Members Present:
Supervisor Michael Herendeen, Clerk Susan Tomasek-Swan, Treasurer Carolyn Stevens, Trustee Gary
Kiger and Trustee Richard Semans
Guests Present: Mike and Diane Dowler, Arlene Pasik, from the Argus Press, Hartmann Aue, County
Commissioner were present.
Scheduled Comments:
Hartmann Aue updated the board on the new items like the drug support and veteran’s support. The
County Commission board is cleaning up the loose ends. They are paying out more on delinquent
children. By law they need to keep them until 18. They are selling off some of the older trucks to
purchase a new truck.

Motion to Approve Agenda:
Trustee Semans made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Clerk Tomasek Swan seconded
the motion.

Motion to Approve Minutes:
Treasurer Stevens made a motion to approve the minutes from regular meeting. Trustee Semans
seconded the motion.
Yes: All

Motion to Approve Bills:
Clerk Tomasek-Swan made a motion to approve paying the bills with checks 3885-3898 and 4FT in an
amount of $6,517.78 Treasurer Stevens seconded the motion.

Communications:
Park and recreation-None
OMESA Dick reviewed how the new fire engine and what they are planning on doing with the other
vehicles. Minimum wage is going to go up to 30,000.00. Some crew members are upset at the thought
of the board looking at different alternatives for the ambulance service.
Library-Clerk Tomasek Swan was elected as Vice-President on the library board. The new shed is built.
MTA Meeting- County forming the Tax limitation committee. They need to elect a supervisor for the
committee. They are going to try at the Supervisor Meeting next Tuesday at the road Commission. In
1996 it started at 1% and has continually slid down because of the Headlee Amendment. The township
would be placed back at 1 mil. The voters would need to pass. April 2017 the mils would expire and the
county would need to put together a tax committee. The tax allocation Board Bruce Cook, Jeremy Root,
The supervisor selected by the supervisor, the RESD representative would make up the committee.
Some interest has been expressed to put in a time of 6 years instead of 20 years.
Assessor Communication- Diane Tuesday, December 15, 2015 is BOR meeting .She also presented to the
board comparable township that have recently built.
Business:
IT Compensation: Treasurer Stevens brought up having the Clerk compensation for the time spent
helping with software and hooking printers and doing the webpage. Herendeen wants to take it under
advisement. Herendeen wants to investigate on a way to compensate the clerk he will consulate with
MTA and Lynn Bowne.
BOR REPLACEMENT-Treasurer Stevens made a motion to appoint Jeff Swan as a replacement. Trustee
Semans supported the motion.
