Librarians trying to limit time and amount of kids in the library at one time. OMESA- Short meeting, reports to fire and rescue is up. Clerk- Election update, letters sent notifying all eligible voters of change in voting location. We have a county meeting at the end of the month. Clerk will be in office on Nov 1 7am-3pm and same time as pole open/close on Nov 4 7am-8am Assessor- Absent. Herendeen L-4029 Signed. Taxable value has increased from approx. 45milltion to approx. 60million Treasurer- Business: 1. New auditor. The auditor said it is too late to start a yearly audit for this year. We will complete our bi-annual audit in March of 2026, and then start yearly audits. Spoke to auditor today and she said our F-65 is complete. She will be sending a letter of engagement. Old Business: 1. Building Signage- G. Ruess received rough estimates from Dan Martin and Agnew. Geno will get mock up of 4x12 sign from Dan Martin and present at November Meeting. 2. Austin & Krouse Rd-trees need to be trimmed to see around corner. Jeff Swan was going to talk to road commission. Jeff talked to Sean from the road commission. The owners were not happy about the trees being cut. 3. Earned Sick Time-policy needed, how to track time earned-front load or pay as earned? Table until October-Herendeen Proposal to look at. Mike read resolution to all in attendance. M. Herendeen Made motion to adopt resolution 2025-04 Policy to comply with the Michigan Earned Sick Time Act. G. Ruess Seconded the motion. Project to be shared with Sciota Township. Cost is $1,232.00 Supervisor Herendeen signed, Jeff will get signed by road commission and give us a copy. 6. MTPP- Clerk will get estimate to add additional liability insurance. Jamie spoke to them and was advised that we do not have any township vehicles so additional liability insurance is not necessary.
