Board Members Present: Supervisor Michael Herendeen, Clerk Jamie Aldrich, Treasurer Jill Ruess, Trustee Gene Ruess-Absent , and Trustee Ronald Powell Guests Present: Guests were present: 9 Jeff Swan, Jodi Medina, Gary Keiger, Carl Chalker, Mark Darling, Josh Haley, Diane Aldrich, Carrie Meisel, Mark Holley Scheduled Comments: Scheduled Comments: Josh Haley-Budget was passed at state level. Increase in tax revenue, everything is balanced. Larry Johnson at the health department had meeting with them due to cuts, however they have not had to lay anyone off. Some equipment needs to be updated. They are working on that. They will be open before the light parade on Friday for people to stop in. OMESA- Amount of runs are up by almost 50% medical and fire Clerk- Renewal of the website. When would you like to get together to work on the budget for 2026? Assessor- No BOR business for December. Will have some poverty changes coming in January. Treasurer- No new business Business: 1. Shiawassee County Road Commission (SCRC) contracts. Jeff. Please take a look at what the county proposed. We will discuss this at January’s meeting. We will keep this on the agenda and expect them to attend in Feb 2026 2. Assessor contract review. See updated contract in meeting packet. Discussion on changing township address to PO BOX, change clerical errors. Clarification on who pays the fees stated in #5, township or tax payer. These are paid by tax payer. Mike wants contract changed to end April 1, 2029 to get us through BOR and follow FY. Jamie would like to review the contract annually. Mike will make changes to the contract and bring to next meeting. Copy of the contract was emailed to Mike to review with Mark and bring to the next meeting for review Old Business: 1. New Hall- Mike will call Ron Mallery to see if we can get a quote.
